No. MotoLens never starts recording on its own. Trip detection notifies you when a ride begins — recording starts when you tap the button or use a Siri command. You decide what gets recorded.

Is MotoLens free on the App Store?

MotoLens – Motorcycle Dash Cam is free to download on the App Store for iPhone. Some features may require a purchase.

Can MotoLens record in the background?

Yes. Once you start a recording session, MotoLens continues in the background while you switch to navigation or other apps. The recording doesn't stop when you leave the app.

Yes. MotoLens logs your GPS route during recording. After the ride, you can see the full route alongside the footage in the clip library.
